How to read this
The five layers
Upstream: master data we consume but don't own (Workday).
L1 Intent: declares what should be true (segmentation, obligations, controls, BIA).
L2 Master data: records of what exists (systems, identities, devices, network).
L3 Operational: live state from tools (backup jobs, log events, vuln findings).
L4 Aggregation: computed posture and KPIs from layers above.
L5 Consumers: who reads from us (Data Team SSOT, auditors, dashboards).
